That same Munchausen episode 1
The film takes place at the end of the 18th century. In the German city of Hanover lives the tireless dreamer Karl Munchausen. Who flew to the moon on a cannonball, pulled himself and his horse out of a swamp by his hair, hunted mammoths and even corresponded with Shakespeare himself.
Of course, no one in Hanover believed this, and Munchausen was considered simply crazy. Including his wife and son, who, unable to bear the baron's whims, left home.
Then Munchausen decides to marry the daughter of a poor pharmacist, Martha. But to do this, he needs to get permission for a divorce from his wife.
The court is ready to grant the baron's request, but only if Munchausen admits that all his stories are fiction. But instead, Munchausen proposes to establish an additional day in the calendar on May 32...
After this, even Martha turns away from him. And the baron has no choice but to commit suicide...

Three years have passed since Baron Munchausen's death, but his memory goes far beyond Hanover. Thanks to a book describing his incredible adventures. And in Hanover itself they are even planning to erect a monument to him...
At the peak of his posthumous popularity, Munchausen decides to suddenly resurrect. However, as it turns out, for everyone, a dead Munchausen is better than a living one.
The baron is required to prove through the court that he is that same Munchausen and to do this he needs to demonstrate a flight on a cannonball to the Moon...
