Narrative:

Action of the film In a square 45 takes place in the mid-1950s. A parachute firefighting team is sent to put out a fire in a border forest, and Valentin Volgin, a newcomer, is on the team. Having shown indecision, Valentin delays the jump and lands in the very epicenter of the fire, almost dying from the fire.

The management decides to temporarily remove Volgin from jumping and employ him in ground work, but the parachute jumping instructor Irina Aleeva stands up for the guy. She manages to convince the management to give Volgin a chance and make several training jumps with him.

At this time, the border guards received information that an airplane was moving along the state border.
