Narrative:

The action of the film "Case No. 306" takes place in the mid-50s of the last century. In the evening, on one of the streets of Moscow, a car moving at high speed hits an elderly woman, and then a policeman on duty who was trying to detain the offender.

An investigative task force headed by police captain Mikhail Mozarin immediately leaves for the scene. Hot on the heels, the detectives manage to establish that the car that ran over the people was of the make "Victory", silver in color and the state registration number ended with the numbers "45". In addition, witnesses testified that the driver was a young girl of about twenty years old, dressed in a white dress or cloak.

An alert was immediately sent to all traffic police posts about the car, and the detectives went to the hospital to question the victims. But by the time they arrived, the traffic policeman had died from his injuries, and the female victim had not yet regained consciousness. In addition, she did not have any documents that could help establish her identity immediately.

Meanwhile, an abandoned Pobeda car was found outside the city, in which the criminal or criminal committed a fatal accident. According to the documents, it belonged to Dr. Alexander Irkutov and was listed as stolen.

However, Irkutov's daughter, Lyudmila, very much matched the description of the girl whom witnesses saw driving the Pobeda that fateful evening. And neighbors interviewed testified that Lyudmila liked to drive recklessly and often violated traffic rules.

Everything seemed very simple, but the detectives were in no hurry to close the case, and began studying the biography of the victim, whose identity had been established by that time. It turned out that during the war she had been in a camp for displaced persons, and now, many years later, fate brings her together with one of the camp employees, who had arrived in the country on a spy mission...
