Narrative:

The action of the film "Oncoming Lane" takes place in the mid-80s of the last century. On a narrow bridge, a ZIL truck collides with a Zhiguli passenger car, resulting in the car catching fire.

Despite the fact that the ZIL driver tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher from the first minutes of the accident, two passengers of the Zhiguli remained in the blocked cabin and could not be saved. Only the driver of the car survived.

The investigative task force that arrived at the scene managed to quickly record the fact of the accident, but the most important question had to be clarified: was there an accident here, or was the tragedy the fault of one of the drivers, who, perhaps unintentionally, nevertheless drove into the oncoming lane...
