In the fall of 1943, partisan detachments in Belorussia received an important assignment - to blow up a strategic bridge at Hai station. But in the partisan detachment operating in the area of Hai station, all the bombers were killed.

Then the commander of a neighboring partisan unit decides to send his comrades his bomber - a young partisan nicknamed "Zimorodok".

He got his nickname because his mother gave birth to him in a sled in winter, and from then on he was called "Zimorodok". No one in the detachment knew his name or surname, so the partisan's deed remained nameless.

Thirty years later, local schoolchildren accidentally learn about the exploits of "Zimorodka" and decide to search for this brave partisan or if he died, then at least establish his real name ...
