Narrative:

The action of the movie "Sunstroke" takes place in the south of Russia in 1920. The commander of the Southern Front Frunze appealed to the commander of the army of Southern Russia Baron Wrangel with a proposal to surrender the troops subordinate to Wrangel within 24 hours.

To all surrendered officers and soldiers, the revolutionary council of the front promised, regardless of rank and rank, forgiveness of all offenses related to the civil war, as well as the opportunity to choose their future fate: either to stay in Russia and work for the new government, or to leave Russia without hindrance.

Wrangel left this proposal unanswered, nevertheless, there was no choice. Officers and soldiers realized that they had lost this war and further resistance was futile.

Most officers, though forced to surrender and tear off their epaulettes, were in no hurry to accept this new power, which had taken away their present and future, so many turned only to the past. Only in the past could they find an answer to the question: how could it happen that they lost a great country?
