Plot of the film Everyday Life of the Criminal Investigation Department (1973 film):
The film takes place in the early 70s of the last century in Kyiv. In the village of "Airport" criminals attack the cashier of a local grocery store. Having seized a large sum of money, the criminals manage to escape and detectives from the criminal investigation department fail to detain them on the trail.
A few months later, the criminals commit a daring robbery of a trading base, stealing an iron box with money. The box itself was found several kilometers from the base in a vacant lot, and the criminals' trail was lost. It was only known that they were possibly traveling on a motorcycle with a sidecar of the Izh Jupiter brand.
While the detectives of the criminal investigation department began checking the motorcycles, the patrol sergeant fatally wounded a man. It turned out to be three-time convicted Sapozhnikov, whom the sergeant met on the street in the evening with two suitcases in his hands. When trying to detain Sapozhnikov, the sergeant was forced to use his service weapon and shoot him.
The detectives took Sapozhnikov into development, and it turned out that his fingerprints were identical to those left by the criminals at the scene of the robbery of the cashier in the settlement "Airport". Then the operatives analyzed all of Sapozhnikov's criminal connections.
It turned out that Sapozhnikov worked with a repeat offender named Panasyuk, who had already been serving a month's sentence for pickpocketing. The detectives of the criminal investigation department were interested in this fact, because Panasyuk was not a pickpocket?
The detectives rushed to the colony to interrogate Panasyuk, but they did not have time, he died suddenly. However, they found out that in the last days before his death, Panasyuk actively communicated with a certain Khlopov, who was supposed to be released in a few days.
The detectives immediately began surveillance of Khlopov from the moment he crossed the gates of the colony, hoping that he would lead them to the trail of the elusive robbers...
