Plot film We'll Live Till Monday (1968 film):

The film takes place in the late 1960s in Moscow. The film tells the story of three days in the life of one of Moscow's secondary schools. Natalya Sergeevna Gorelova is a graduate of this school, and after graduating from college she returns here as an English teacher. Her choice of profession, and especially her place of work, was not connected with her love for children or pedagogy.

Natasha was drawn to her native school for another reason: her love for the elderly history teacher Ilya Semenovich Melnikov. For the sake of her beloved teacher, Natasha left her fiancé right at the doors of the registry office. Melnikov was also in love with his student, but the difference in age and social status put an end to the feelings of Natasha and Ilya Semenovich. But now they were both teachers, and the distance between them had to disappear.

Natasha's appearance at school became a real mental torment for Ilya Semenovich. He understands that there can be nothing in common between him, an aging man, and a young girl, and being with her within the walls of the same building has become unbearable. Melnikov tries to take a vacation and even leave school, but his love for children and the profession to which he has devoted so many years makes him change his mind and stay...
