Plot:
The action of the series "The Mikhailov Method" takes place in our time. Talented surgeon Maxim Mikhailov returns to his hometown of Arkadyevsk, which he had to leave several years ago because of one failure. At that time, Mikhailov operated on the fiancée of his brother Alexander, who died on the operating table. Alexander blamed his brother for the girl's death and Maxim did not justify himself.
It was not in the spirit of Mikhailov Sr. to engage in justification; on the contrary, he always took responsibility for everything that happened in the operating room only on himself. This was Mikhailov's method: Never shift responsibility onto others, and if a person can be saved, then it is absolutely necessary to try to do so.
Almost on Mikhailov's first day on the job, a young girl with a head injury sustained in a robbery is admitted to the hospital. Due to the fact that the city hospital was not staffed neurosurgeon, the head of the department and the chief physician insist that the patient needs to be sent to the regional hospital for surgery.
However, Mikhailov, having assessed the patient's condition, is categorically against this, since the girl was not transportable and could easily die on the way. Having defended his opinion, Mikhailov brilliantly carries out the operation, but for further treatment the girl is still sent to the regional hospital, from where a message about her death soon arrives.
This news shocked both Mikhailov and his entire team, because the operation was successful and the girl was no longer in the critical condition in which she was admitted to the hospital. Soon Mikhailov noticed that this was not the first case when patients with craniocerebral injuries died on the way to the regional hospital.
He shares his suspicions with his brother Alexander, a local police officer who was searching for the criminal who had attacked his patient. Their joint investigation forces the brothers to forget their old quarrel and track down a criminal group that was engaged in illegal transplantation of human organs…
