Narrative:

The action of the film "Vacation at Own Expense" is in the early 80s of the last century. A young kindergarten teacher from a provincial northern town, Katya Kotova, comes to the capital in search of her beloved Yuri Pavlov. The girl does not know the address where the young man lived, nor his place of work, nor even his patronymic, but only knew that his name was Yuri Pavlov and he was a test engineer.

It is almost impossible to find a person with such parameters in a city of millions, but, as we know, love can work miracles, and Katya manages to find Yuri Kotov, surprising him a lot, because the young man had already managed to forget this naive girl from the provinces.

He met Katya while on a business trip in her town, but he had no idea that their brief acquaintance would awaken such deep feelings in this modest girl that he himself was incapable of. After all, thanks to his work, he often went on business trips not only around his native country, but also abroad, and during this period he started short romances.

But Katya Kotova was not like the girls Yuri Pavlov was used to dealing with. As if she had come from the pages of Russian classics of the last century, she did not fit into the image of modern capital youth.

And Katya, in order to come to Moscow, took leave from work at her own expense, and having learned that Yuri Pavlov was going on a business trip to Hungary, she went after him. However, Yuri was not very happy that the girl was so persistently pursuing him and trying to get rid of her, like an annoying fly.
But as always happens in such cases, Yuri, who at first did not appreciate Katya, realizes that this provincial girl is the only one he could truly love, but his train has left and he will have to try very hard to jump on the last carriage...
