Plot:

In the suburbs of Paris, the body of a woman is found, who, as the police later established, was the wife of the president of the Union of French Entrepreneurs. A detective of the criminal department, police captain Francois Menge, an ambitious and purposeful policeman who dreams of making a brilliant career in the police, goes to the scene of the crime.

François expected to soon take up the post of police commissioner, and this high-profile case, if he investigated it quickly, would bring him not only the coveted position of commissioner, but also fame throughout the country.

However, the first to discover the woman's body was Lieutenant Osman Diakote, a policeman from the poor immigrant district where the murder had taken place. Unlike François, Osman did not think about his career and fame, he simply fought crime as best he could, often resorting to illegal methods of work.

Osman had his own interest in this murder, believing that it was connected to underground casinos, which were protected by one of the major French politicians, whom he had been hunting for more than three years. Therefore, he persuaded his boss to petition the prosecutor to include him in the investigation team together with François Menge.

At first, François was not thrilled with a partner like Osman, because he, with his street and not always legal methods of work, set him up and prevented him from realizing his ambitious dream of a career. In turn, Osman considered François an office worker and a paper soul, who had no operational savvy.

But it turned out that the work of people with such different views on life and approaches to their work has a positive aspect, because only in this way could they learn their weaknesses, become more experienced and professional, and therefore reach their goal faster...
