The plot of the movie Telegram (1971 movie):
Early 1970s, New Year's Eve rush in Moscow. The streets of the capital were filled with a festive atmosphere. The sixth-graders Kostya and Tosha, as well as Kostya's younger brother, four-year-old Ruslan, were in the center of the bustle.
Their task seemed simple enough: to find Katya Inozemtseva and deliver to her an important telegram they had accidentally found.
Katya, who graduated from school on the eve of the war, experienced many events that dramatically changed her fate. At the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, she got a job at a hospital, where she helped save the lives of wounded soldiers. Later she was sent to the front and became a member of a reconnaissance and sabotage group.
Katya's love feelings were closely connected with two of her friends, Anton and Sergey. Each of them showed their emotions in their own way, but fate decreed that she chose Anton as her spouse. Unfortunately, their joint happiness was short-lived, as Anton tragically died of wounds received in battle. Sergei, despite this loss, did not lose hope. He continued to write her letters, dreaming of meeting her. However, time passed, and his telegram, accidentally dropped out of a book in the library, fell into the hands of Kostya ...
