Narrative:
The action of the film "Golden Transit" takes place in 1924. It has been several years since the end Civil war in Russia, but the war-torn economy was in dire straits. In connection with this, the Council of People's Commissars decided to confiscate gold from representatives of the former ruling class.
Former gold miner Boris Astakhov realized that Soviet power was here to stay and that the gold he had hidden for a rainy day would be of no use to him. Without waiting for confiscation, Astakhov decided to voluntarily give up the gold in exchange for him and his daughter being allowed to leave the country without hindrance, and in addition he was promised a reward of 25% of the gold he had given.
However, Astakhov's gold transit with the Bolsheviks was under threat: unknown criminals stole Astakhov's gold right from under the noses of the Chekists. A harsh cipher message came from Vladivostok: find the gold within 12 hours, otherwise all participants in the transit would be shot.
The local police chief Zimin immediately arrests Astakhov, his daughter Masha, and the young security officer assigned to him, Pashka Samsonov. Zimin suspects them all of being connected to a certain Cherny, the leader of local bandits and Astakhov's former manager. But security officer Samsonov believes that someone from Zimin's circle is involved in the theft of the gold, and to prove his case, he escapes...
