Narrative:
The action of the series "The Artamonov Case" takes place at the end of the 19th century, after the abolition of serfdom in Russia. The former clerk of Prince Grigory, Ilya Artamonov arrives in the small town of Dremov with an ambitious dream of opening his own business - a weaving factory.
The years passed, the Artamonov family grew, the business expanded. After the death of his father, the eldest son Pyotr Artamonov took over the management of the factory, and the youngest son Nikita, born a cripple, renounced his inheritance and went to a monastery.
Peter wants to pass on the Artamonovs' business to his son Ilya, but Ilya does not want to get involved in the family business and prefers to study history.
In the capital he joined the revolutionary movement and became a member of the Bolshevik Party...
