The Sea Hawk (1941) movie plot:

The film takes place in June 1941. The American merchant ship "Susanna" is heading to one of the ports of the USSR, and the closer the destination, the more nervous the captain becomes, because according to rumors, a certain pirate submarine was operating in these places.

Carefully peering into the sea surface, the captain tries to spot the periscope in advance, but a sailing schooner suddenly appears on the horizon.

Having received a signal about the radio station malfunction, the captain of the Susanna decided to come to the rescue, but as it approached his ship, the schooner also unexpectedly opened fire from the ship's cannon...

The Soviet sailors also had information about the pirate submarine, so the command decided to destroy the pirates.

For this purpose, the merchant ship Vyatka was chosen, the crew of which was replaced by the crew of one of the warships, and already at sea, a tugboat secretly delivered a ship's cannon to the Vyatka.

Soon after setting out to sea, the situation with the Susanna repeated itself. First, the sailors of the Vyatka saw a sailboat, then received a signal about a faulty radio station, and then an attack followed.

Only this time the pirates got a counterattack. Despite the fact that the Soviet captain demanded only warning fire, an explosion occurs on the sailboat and the schooner goes under water.

Soon the captain and crew of the Vyatka managed to discover the cause of the explosion: a German submarine was disguised as a sailboat…
