The plot of the movie Lyubov Yarovaya (film 1970):

The action of the movie takes place during the Civil War. The main character of the movie Lyubov Yarovaya, a teacher and a liaison between the underground and partisans, arrives in the city to communicate with the commissar of the underground Revolutionary Committee Roman Koshkin. Unexpectedly, in the walls of the Revolutionary Committee she encounters no one else but her husband Mikhail Yarov, whom Lyuba thought was no longer alive.

Mikhail was an old underground fighter, and it was in his memory that Lyubov joined the revolution. But they do not enjoy the joy of meeting: the Revolutionary Committee receives a message that the Whites have broken through the defenses and will soon enter the city.

Commissar Koshkin immediately ordered all the members of the Revolutionary Committee to go underground again, and instructed Mikhail Yarovoy and several Red Army soldiers to blow up the Zheglovsky bridge on the outskirts of the city. Mikhail Yarovoy did not return from this task, and since the town was occupied by the White Guards, Lyuba did not receive any information about him.

However, soon Lyuba meets her husband again, only now in the uniform of a White Guard officer-lieutenant. At first Lyuba thought that Mikhail was working undercover for the Whites, but it turned out to be the other way around: he was working undercover for the Reds.

Nevertheless, Mikhail did not give Luba away, and she, hoping that he still loves her, asks him to help free the captured comrades, who were soon to be executed. But Mikhail, having tracked down Lyuba, establishes her connection with the underground fighters and organizes an ambush on them ...
