Plot:

The series "Unaccusable" takes place between 1989 and 2007. The plot centers on the fate of Andrei Voronov, an officer of the 9th Directorate of the KGB of the USSR, who was responsible for protecting the country's top political leadership.

With the collapse of the USSR, former officers of the "nine" left the service: some for ideological reasons, some for financial ones. After all, in the new democratic Russia it was much more profitable to work for the rapidly enriching nouveau riche than for the state.

But Voronov remains loyal to the service, which has now been reorganized into the Federal Protective Service. While guarding the highest ranks of the state, Voronov meets the famous businessman Boris Berezovsky and his partner Badri Patarkatsishvili.

In the conditions of tough competition and a new wave of criminal revolution in Russia, businessmen of this level were in dire need of security, which only professionals could provide. For this reason, Voronov became a freelance consultant for Berezovsky and Patarkatsishvili on security. He helped to create a security service for businessmen, attracting his former colleagues from the "nine" to work.

By the mid-90s, Berezovsky was rapidly gaining weight and becoming one of the most influential businessmen in Russia. His appetites were no longer limited to business alone. Boris Abramovich was increasingly interested in politics, because politics is power, and only power can bring fabulous profits.

Berezovsky understands that television plays a huge and almost decisive role in the struggle for souls and minds of people, therefore, using his connections in the government, he takes control of the first channel of Russian television. His permanent business partner Patarkatsishvili becomes the deputy general director of the channel, and Voronov becomes the head of the security service.

But by the end of the 90s, Berezovsky's position in power had fallen sharply, and he left Russia. Having settled in Great Britain, Berezovsky and Patarkatsishvili were no longer subject to prosecution, and the head of the security service, Voronov, found himself behind bars...
